1970s music icons come to NFTs with Candy Digital and Getty Images!

Candy Digital, the NFTs platform founded by Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban, has teamed up with Getty Images to release the first NFTs of music icons from the 1970s. The collection named Exposure includes some of the most iconic musicians of that era, including Janis Joplin, David Bowie, Bob Marley and Jimi Hendrix. The NFTs are a unique opportunity for music fans to get their hands on a piece of musical history, while supporting and celebrating the work of these legendary artists.

Exposure consists of 10 limited edition NFTs, each featuring an image of a musical icon along with audio of one of their most iconic songs. The NFTs were released in two phases, with five of them going on sale in each.

The first phase launched on April 20, 2022 and featured artists such as Janis Joplin, Jimi Hendrix, Bob Marley, David Bowie and Patti Smith. The second phase launched on April 27, 2022 and included other 70s music greats such as Lou Reed, Iggy Pop, The Who, Blondie and The Ramones.

Each NFT comes with an exclusive use license that grants the owner the right to display the work in their home or any other location of their choice. In addition, owners of NFTs have the opportunity to attend exclusive music-related events and meet some of the people who helped build the music industry of the 1970s.
