

ALTAVA, the Singapore-based luxury fashion group, has surprised the fashion world by partnering with Animoca Brands, a leader in blockchain-based entertainment. This exciting licensing agreement allows ALTAVA Group to use Bored Ape Yacht Club's coveted NFT collection, which is currently under the Animoca Brands umbrella.
Under the partnership, the blockchain entertainment giant has granted ALTAVA Group an intellectual property license to Bored Ape Yacht Club for use in Bored Ape Golf Club, a golf-centric themed metaverse. It should be noted that Bored Ape Golf Club is not affiliated with the original BAYC collection and there is no official collaboration with Yuga Labs. However, due to the popularity of Bored Ape Yacht Club images, this community-driven themed project is also gaining great success.
In December 2022, Animoca Brands' subsidiary The Sandbox introduced the Bored Ape golf club into the metaverse, in collaboration with ALTAVA and OneFootball. Also, ALTAVA and The Sandbox are working on creating the ALTAVA Club House within the metaverse, a digital replica of the pop-up store located in Seoul that showcases the Bored Ape Golf Club collection. In addition to these partnerships, Animoca Brands is also an investor in ALTAVA.
Special golf-themed NFTs will give their owners access to some of the most exclusive country clubs in Turkey, Korea and Vietnam. Holders of these NFTs will also receive high-quality customized Bored Ape Golf Club-branded golf products, as well as Bored Ape Golf Club voxel twin tokens that they can use in The Sandbox metaverse. But that's not all: owners of these NFTs will also get intellectual property rights, licensing and management services, allowing them to create spin-off projects and monetize their intellectual property.
The current minimum price to purchase Bored Ape Golf Club NFTs is 0.1 ETH (approximately 184 USD at the time of writing). Since its launch in February this year, a total of 146 ETH in transaction volume has been traded.
The partnership between ALTAVA and Animoca Brands has generated a lot of buzz in the fashion industry and the NFT world.
