Renault revolutionizes with its genesis NFT collection for the iconic R5 model

French automaker Renault has taken a bold step into the digital age by launching its Genesis NFT collection. With this exciting initiative, the company seeks to unite car enthusiasts and the cryptographic community, while offering fans of the brand unique utilities. Under the name "genR5," this collection includes 1,972 3D generative NFTs divided into different levels of rarity.

The most exclusive element of the collection is the "R5 Electric" tokens, of which only 100 are available. These NFTs grant their holders access to sweepstakes for test drives and driving experiences, meetings with Renault designers, prototype discovery and privileged access to car manufacturing. The collection also features 160 "R5 Turbo" NFTs, which give owners access to free mints for future Renault launches. In addition, 450 "R5 La Car Van" tokens and 1,262 "R5 TL" tokens are available. The latter allow holders to enter drawings for a private tour of the Renault Atelier in Flint and an exclusive party during the Retromobile Show.

As an added benefit, each genR5 holder will have access to live conferences with automotive industry experts. They will also have the opportunity to co-create and receive Renault-branded hoodies and skateboards.

The public minting of the collection will begin on December 15 at 9:00 CET via the project's website. Each "R3NLT" NFT will be available for €100, and users will be able to pay in fiat or cryptocurrency.

Importantly, the Renault Group entered the web3 space in November this year, announcing its plans to build the world's first industrial automotive metaverse. This project aims to monitor the data supply chain and supply flow, which is expected to save the company an estimated $600 million by 2025. With the Genesis NFT collection dedicated to the iconic R5 model, Renault demonstrates its commitment to innovation and the exploration of new frontiers in the automotive industry.
